When the demons are back…

When England batsman Kevin Pietersen gets out cheaply or is given out unfairly, he just goes back, changes to casuals and sits in balcony watching the next guy play

When he was asked ‘why don’t you get flared up?’…he said, “Well! Why mess it up for the other guys…and that too when you know this isn’t your last game!!

………………………

There are phases in life when you are not at the top of your game! Startled by the realization of how fragile your infallibility is, you feel down and the demons of self-doubt come back to feed on your confidence.

In response to this sudden attack, your ego stands up to fight for itself. You sulk, crib, isolate yourself or tend to spill it out at anything that can take the beating.

Well! Such days are a gentle reminder for you to rediscover the humbleness you had when you started out…much before you acquired an image, and all the miscellaneous attached to it!

So, when things are getting on your nerves and you are barely getting along, then don’t get back at life…get back to yourself! See it through, and wait for the tide to turn…which it will – sooner or later!

………………………

Well! Every Aamir will have a ‘Mela’ and every Ajay will have a ‘Himmatwala’…! It’s a part of the game…and you got to take it in your stride! That’s why one of my favorite sayings has been…“For all the days prepare and meet them ever alike! When you are the anvil, bear…when you are the hammer, strike!”
