so ‘good’…

One of my close friends called up the other day…he is my school-friend. He called up to share a good-news in his life…And…it felt so vindicated!

He never had it easy…and seeing him going through the twists of his fate almost made me conclude that God has a really sick sense-of-humor…And still…he took it all in his stride…taking everything in such a ‘as a matter of fact‘ way! He dug his foot deep enough and hung in there long enough…! And to top it all, he still retained his genuineness…enough innocence to hope…enough ignorance to trust! …Celebrate the moment ‘my friend’! You deserve every bit of it…

Well! We all have gone through our share of grief and struggle…In such a phase you suddenly discover how ‘lonely you are’ and how cosmetic every second thing around you is…And when that happens, it is so easy to get permanently cynical about everything…

But pain can also be pretty ‘purifying’…It introduces you to your inadequacies, your vulnerabilities and your insignificance in the larger scheme of things…It helps you to test whatever you had always believed in…It helps you crosscheck your assumptions and verify your conclusions…It forces you to just ‘bare it all’ in your own eyes…And in the end, it leaves you more ‘grounded’ and more ‘aware of your own self’!

…Giving you a new pair of eyes, to look at the world through…
