Whoever said that he is omnipresent was correct! As we drove towards another city for the seminars, I surely saw him everywhere…in all forms, types, shapes and sizes. I always thought that when supply is huge, the demand should take a hit, but I felt humbled when the driver told me about a place on the way where people throng, as the idol does a peculiar act which is hard to decipher!
Driven by both faith and wonder, we visited the place on our way back. As I made my way through the suffocating crowd into the packed room, standing before the idol with folded hands, my eyes were curiously glued to the spotlight.
As priest initiated the act, I scanned my own psyche and was pleasantly surprised to find that beyond the superficial skepticism, in the hearts of hearts…I actually wished it to be true! Well! I am not an extreme atheist or a cynic, but it was amazing to be introduced to a part of me which would surely irritate an atheist.
Little did I know that the answer was waiting for me…! As we sat back in the cab, my colleague asked a question to the driver, to which he replied “Sir! Ye sab baatein sirf ek cheez sikhaati hain…Vishwaas karna…Warna, aadmi ekdam akela pad jaaye!”

Even with all the advancements in science, the ‘organized faith’ is only growing! “Shaayad…aadmi zyaada akela pad raha hai!”
