At some point, you have to begin to look at your compromises as your choices.

There are times when you have to comply with the call of the circumstance, and make a choice that otherwise you wouldn’t have made. And you make that compromise as there is ‘something at stake’ which, in the present circumstance, is more important than your like-dislike or comfort-discomfort.
However, the problem starts when the circumstance changes but you get locked in the choice. You can’t bear anymore because now there is no good reason to do so, and you can’t break free either because you have built an entire apparatus around the choice that you can’t afford to dismantle.

In such case, the only way out is to be ‘all in’. See it as your own, and settle.
